Grade Recovery Application for Social Studies-Mrs. Jolle

Before you choose to apply for grade recovery you may want to see if doing one or more of the Extra Credit opportunities described on my web page will achieve the grade you need. If you have only a few missing or low grades, this may be all you need to do to get back on track. If you have missed many assignments or earned a significantly low grade on a project you may need this opportunity to try to recover.

Steps for Recovery:

1.     You must come to school early and get your notebook in order using the box of extra hand-outs to fill in for any you have lost. You will need to complete the worksheet pages or ask other students to allow you to copy any information that must be filled in on the worksheets. When you have a complete notebook (up to the most recent paper handed out)  including Table of Contents, three ring binder, numbered pages and dividers you may bring it to me for the next step.

You may not go on to step 2 until this step is completed.

2.     You, personally, will need to arrange a conference with me. Together we will discuss what work you need to complete for recovery.

3.     You must do the assignments in the order I list them for you which is designed to improve your grade as quickly as possible.

I will grade these assignments the same way I graded other student’s assignments, however, there will be a 20 point deduction for being turned in late.

Please Note: All recovery work must be turned in no later than 10 school days before the end of the semester.
