Background and History
The Fulton County Children's Honor Chorus was created to provide fourth and fifth grade chorus students the opportunity to sing with others of equal talent. All members of the FCCHC were either required to audition for the group or were recommended by the chorus teacher at their home school. The two primary criteria were singing ability and discipline.
Due to the distance from the northernmost point to the southernmost point of Fulton County and the growth and expansion of the FCCHC, it was necessary to divide into two smaller ensembles - one north and one south. In 2005, the two ensembles began rehearsing independently but met for the concerts. Starting in 2008, the two ensembles became independent of one another and performed their own concerts. This change has created many more opportunities for Fulton County Students.
